About the Role

Designing, organising and conducting qualitative and quantitative research projects: including large scale international projects, that get under the skin of consumer motivation from start to finish, including presenting to senior clients.

Managing partners: Working and developing relationships with fieldwork agencies and other suppliers

Sharing your knowledge: Working with junior members to develop their skills, sharing your experience with the wider team and using it to push our research offering

Building relationships with clients: Managing day to day interactions with clients, responding to needs and planning the work of project teams, ensuring that the project keeps on track and that the team deliver high quality work.

Winning new work: Supporting the management team on new proposals and clients, helping structure a bespoke methodology and approach

Responsibility: You’ll be given lots of responsibility to make your own decisions and design how the research looks and feels.

Story Telling: Using your analytical skills to dig deep into the data and present this in a succinct, insightful and interesting manner that has clients on the edge of their seats

Seeing the bigger picture: At Brand Vista our research is strategic. Our reports don’t sit on an Insight Manager’s desk – they are critical for the senior team’s overall strategy. You will see the results of your research and how it fits in to the wider business strategy

Skills Requirements

  • Whilst the role is mixed method, covering both qualitative and quantitative research, it will lean towards qualitative research and we’re looking for someone with a passion and experience across a number of qualitative methodologies (e.g. focus groups, depth interviews, accompanied shops, online communities)
  • Experience conducting market research projects in a commercial setting
  • Evidence of experience in all aspects of the market research processes from set up through to presentation; including competency in questionnaire/discussion guide design, project management, data analysis and interpretation, creation & delivery of presentations based on client objectives
  • Possess strong skills, knowledge and application of market research techniques that are beyond the basics
  • Highly curious and willing to master a broad range of methodologies to solve our clients’ business questions
  • Experience of managing multiple projects at once
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently motivated
  • Excellent organisation & communication skills
  • Attention to detail is crucial
  • Confidence and experience at presenting research finding to clients in a dynamic and clearly understood manner (virtually and in person)
  • Ability to lead and deliver multi-country research assignments with minimal supervision. It is expected that you will independently lead some client engagements, whilst for others, you may be working with a director or Head of Research

Whilst the job is based in Manchester city centre the team currently works from home as suits them, coming into the office most Mondays plus other days for collaborative work.

The job will involve regular national travel with the opportunity for some international travel.

The standard hours will be 9.00am – 5:30pm however we work on a flexible basis valuing output and performance over the time spent at your desk!
